Biosafety cabinets, also known as biological safety cabinets or microbiological safety cabinets, are enclosed, ventilated laboratory workspaces designed to protect personnel, products, and the environment from exposure to infectious or hazardous biological agents. Equipped with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, these cabinets trap airborne contaminants, making them essential for handling pathogens in microbiology, clinical, pharmaceutical, and research labs.
